Let's paint the picture of the role

As a Capacity Manager at AkzoNobel, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Rough-Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) process, addressing planned production capability exceptions, and ensuring optimal balancing of plant and warehouse load capacities. Your role will involve close collaboration with manufacturing sites, logistics, and other planning teams to drive efficiency and performance in our supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

Capacity Planning :

  • Develop and maintain an aggregated Demand, Supply, Inventory (DSI) plan for the BU Region within the IBP horizon.
  • Create and manage the BU Region RCCP for multiple production sites.
  • Handle production capacity exceptions and develop mitigation scenarios.
  • Lead Make-Supply and Deliver-Supply Gatekeeping meetings to align on plan deviations and risks.
  • Provide RCCP and warehouse capacity input to IBP and S&OE governance processes.
  • Maintain and update production and warehouse capacity settings in the system.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement (CI) team to enhance production and warehouse capacity performance.
  • Foster strong collaboration with demand management, manufacturing, and logistics teams.

Performance Indicators:

  • Supply Bias/Production Plan Adherence
  • Optimal balancing of Plant Load/Capacity within target ranges.
  • Maintaining Warehouse Load/Capacity below agreed thresholds.
  • Secondary KPIs: OTIF (On-Time In-Full delivery) and FMC/OLC (Manufacturing and Logistics Costs).

What do you bring?

  • University degree with at least 6 years of experience in FMCG, Paint/Coating, or Retail industries focusing on Supply Chain Improvement or consulting.
  • Extensive experience in Supply Planning, IBP processes, and planning tools, particularly SAP ECC and BI.
  • Strong change management skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen and handle team tensions effectively.
  • High stress resistance, flexibility, and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Project management skills.
  • Credibility, trustworthiness, and openness to new ideas.
  • Results-oriented with a strong desire to challenge and improve the status quo.
  • Fluent in English.
