Your role in the story:

Together, we will write your story within Heerema. We are looking for an enthusiastic learner ready to explore all facets of our procurement department. Experience in sales or procurement is a plus, but not required. We're looking for the right mindset. Through on-the-job training and intensive coaching, we will guide you to become a procurement specialist in no time!

What you will be working on:

Procurement within Heerema is particularly unique; we negotiate everything from construction materials offshore our vessels, and everything in between.

The procurement team consists of approximately 30 professionals, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Within our team, we deal directly with our suppliers and subcontractors, creating a dynamic, versatile, and international working environment.

• Evaluate whether offered products and services meet Heerema's needs;
• Collaborate with various departments within Heerema to understand their needs and finalize (contractual) agreements;
• Monitor the supplier market within your domain to stay updated on trends and developments and translate these insights into valuable strategies for supplier collaborations;
• Aim to achieve optimal results in terms of both price and quality.

Key ingredients for success:

We are looking for a proactive team player with a service-oriented and learning attitude. You have strong communication skills and are comfortable in English, both spoken and written. Listening is one of your strengths, as is building connections and effective stakeholder management.

Additionally, you have:

• Bachelor's level thinking and working capability;
• Educational background in Economics or Supply Chain is a plus;
• Relevant experience in a commercial driven role is a plus;
• Proactive attitude;
• Service orientation;
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Effective stakeholder management skills.
