We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Projects Manager to join our team. As the Lead Projects Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple Engineering Projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. You will provide leadership to a team of project managers, promote best practices, and ensure the successful delivery of projects within the Site.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to a team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project management team.
• Promote best practice methods, approaches, and practices for project management across the AkzoNobel community through mentoring, coaching, and demonstrating project management leadership.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Conduct regular project reviews to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with senior management to align project management strategies with overall business goals, ensuring projects contribute to the organization's success.
• Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Allocate and manage resources efficiently to ensure optimal project performance, working closely with resource managers to address constraints and optimize team productivity.
• Act as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring clear communication channels.
• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet high standards, conducting periodic audits to evaluate performance and adherence to project management standards.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or project management certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, with a strategic mindset to align project activities with organizational goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project risks and issues in a proactive manner.
